Plot

A rebellious boy who has an eye for adventure, plans to try and locate his grandfather and discover the 'Mysterious Island' with the help of his step father. 

Stars of the film

This film has a great cast including Josh Hutcherson from the Hunger Games, Dwayne Johnson AKA 'The Rock', Michael Caine and Vanessa Hudgens. 

Best bit

Look out for a really cool high action scene where stars of the film are chased by dangerous and giant bees. It is such a cool action packed scene that will have you on the edge of your seat. 

We also really like all the big monsters in the film. 

Favourite character

We really liked Alexander who is Sean's grandfather. He is full of adventure and keen to explore and also really funny. 

Hit or miss

This film just about makes it into the hit category. It's a  fun adventure film for the family with loads of fast paced action cool special effects and comedy to keep everyone entertained.
