The world’s biggest games Joy-pad

To celebrate the release of Guinness World Records 2012 Gamer’s edition the world’s largest videogame controller has come to London.

World's largest joy pad

The huge controller measures a huge 12ft long by 5ft 3. That’s 30 times bigger than a normal NES joy pad. It’s so big that it needs at least two gamers to press the buttons or to jump up and down on them.  If you wanted to use it like a standard handheld pad, then you’d need to be 167ft tall, the same height as Nelson’s Column in London.

The joypad was created by 23 year old British engineering student called Ben Allen and it took him five months to make it.

World's largest joy pad

Yesterday, lucky kids at London’s Liverpool Street station were able to play classics such as Tetris, Super Mario Kart and Donkey Kong.

The joy pad has made its self into The Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition which is now in its fifth edition.
