Plot

Balthazar Blake  is one of three of Merlin’s apprentices along with Maxim Horvath  & Veronica. When Maxim betrays them all and joins forces with Merlin's arch nemesis Morgana they are no match. With Merlin defeated nothing can stop Morgana from world domination until Balthazar captures both Morgana & Maxim. The only person capable of defeating Morgana is Merlin's true successor and so begins Balthazar's search. Dave Stuler stumbles into Balthazar's store in present day Manhattan and Balthazar believes his long search to be over. After Maxim is un-leased and determined to free Morgana, Balthazar gives Dave a crash course in the magic arts as they fight to stop him. But does Dave have what it takes to save the world, get the girl & become the true Sorcerer's Apprentice?

Nicolas Cage as the charismatic Balthazar Blake delivers some hilarious one liners & takes Dave on a wild ride whilst teaching him the magic arts.

Best bit

Dave is in a rush to clean up his lab before Becky gets there and in true Fantasia style gets a helping hand by enchanting several mops & brooms!!!

Favourite character

Drake Stone (Toby Kebbell) plays Maxim's modern day accomplice and steals the show with many of the film's best comic moments.

Hit or Miss

A true blockbuster to end the summer with.Amazing special effects, great action & will have you laughing throughout.It cast a spell on us at Kix & a definite hit.
