Release Date

Plot
Picking up from previous Ice Age films the gang is back and after Scrat, the acorn obsessed squirrel accidently puts into motion the separation of the continents, Manny, Sid and Diego find themselves on the wrong side of the rift while the rest of their herd, including Manny’s family Ellie and Peaches are on the other side.
Drifting out to sea on their little piece of Iceberg Manny, Diego, and Sid try and make their way back home, but instead run into a group of nasty pirates, headed by the scary Captain Gutt, a huge prehistoric ape.

Stars of the film
All of our favourite Ice Age stars are back and once again Sid the hilarious sloth (voiced by John Leguizamo) had us laughing out loud as did his equally funny -and stinky - Granny (voiced by Wanda Sykes).

Best bit
We don’t want to give anything away but we will say look out for the army of small hamster-like creatures who help Manny and friends take on the pirates, they may be small, but we wouldn’t mess with them!
Favourite character
Ice Age wouldn’t be Ice Age without the eternal struggle of Scrat the squirrel to find his precious acorns and the opening sequence when he ends up deep within the earth is a great way to kick-off the action – what he wouldn't do to be in a world made of acorns!

Hit or miss
Here at Kix we definitely think Ice Age 4 is a hit, we laughed a lot and think it’s a perfect film to see with your family and friends. Our only criticism is that the storyline isn’t a million miles away from what we’ve seen in previous Ice Age films, but that aside it’s still a great story with lots of action, fantastic effects and funny momments.
